Susan qualified from University of Glasgow Vet School in 2006 and has been in equine practice ever since. She gained an RCVS Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Medicine in 2013 and gained a second Certificate in 2017, this time in Equine Stud Medicine, making her one of few vets in the country with both of these qualifications. She has extensive experience of ambulatory 'on the road' practice, as well as the benefit of many years of dealing with hospitalised horses. Her particular areas of interest are internal medicine, geriatric medicine and reproduction. Most of all, she is passionate about delivering a personal, high quality service to all of her patients.
Away from work, she is an avid gym goer, occasionally taking part in CrossFIt competitions, and enjoys spending time with her ageing but still naughty Jack Russell terrier, Lily, who may be seen out on calls from time to time.
