Erin first started working with animals at Australia Zoo and RSPCA adoptions in Queensland and quickly began volunteering in the RSPCA animal hospital. On her return to Scotland she started studies at SRUC Barony.
She worked at Vets Now as an animal care assistant from 2018 and completed her placement year there before taking on a role of wards nurse in 2022. She has a passion for patient care and also enjoys anaesthesia, as well as having plenty of experience in emergency care. Erin is big advocate for cat care too and loves working with our feline friends. As Avondale is the first general practice she has worked at, she is very keen to start consults and get to know patients and clients better.
Erin also works with the BVNA visiting schools to talk about the role of veterinary nurse which is some she loves. She has so much fun showing x-rays, teaching how to bandage and talking about how to safely look after our pets.
Outside of work, Erin is kept busy with her toddler and two greyhounds and she is always trying to convince her husband that they need a cat (and maybe some rats).
