Inpatients

If you leave your Pet with us, you can be confident that they will get the best of care from out dedicated Vets and Nurses.

We have large walk-in kennels so that they will have plenty of space, under floor heating to keep them warm and nurses who dedicated to providing their time and focus to making sure your pet makes the best possible recovery.

Whether they have been admitted for a simple procedure or major surgery we can keep them as comfortable as possible, and there is always something going on for them to watch as well.

Overnight

Despite our best efforts to keep them comfortable, our patients do prefer to be at home in their own surroundings with the people they love. Pets often eat better at home and if they eat better, they heal quicker.

That’s why we would always try and get patients home for the night, even if it means them coming back the following day.

Where patients are not well enough to go home, even for a few hours, we would always advise that they are transferred to our out of hours facility, where they can receive the same level of care and supervision that they have enjoyed during the day.

On the quite rare occasion it is required for patients to stay in the practice, the attending Vet will explain in detail why they are suggesting it and their schedule for checking on the patient. This is only really suited to patients with simple requirements such as analgesia which cannot be administered at home yet are unsuited to be transferred to our out of hours provider in Glasgow. The practice in not routinely staffed during the night and as such this would be by special arrangement in the absence of alternative options.
